FAQ

WHAT DOES AN EVENT PLANNER DO?

We work with you, months or even years in advance to plan and structure your event. We’re all about the logistics, from vendor referrals and contract negotiation to site plans and mood boards. We make planning your event as seamless as possible; keeping track of who’s doing what, when and how- what they need to do the job, what it costs, and tackling changes as they come up (and they will).
We also offer design services- from helping hone the overall aesthetic, to planning the creative specifics that all come together for a cohesive atmosphere. We ask the questions you don't think to ask, we know tricks to make things work in a pinch, we handle a ridiculous amount of emails, texts and phone calls, and we aren't afraid to get our hands dirty.
We're like your friend's cool mom- making sure everyone is prepared and safe, but with style (and snacks).

I DON'T NEED AN EVENT PLANNER, JUST A DAY-OF COORDINATOR.

Hate to say it, but we cringe a little when we hear the term 'day-of coordinator'. Why? We cannot effectively & successfully manage your special celebration by just showing up on the day of. We need prior knowledge of your event's purpose, vision, all the plans you have put into place, and YOU. That said, we need a minimum of 1 month to get our hands dirty, brush up on everything you've done so far, identify & rectify any holes in the planning, and get our heads in the game!

WHAT DOES A MONTH-OF COORDINATOR DO?

Rather than do any original planning, a Month-Of Coordinator is responsible for making sure the vision and scheme are executed properly. We may not make the seating plan, but we will make sure that your caterer has the correct menu selections and final guest count- that you don’t forget the easels or frames for your signage - and that your place cards are numbered correctly & placed in the proper spot. We’ll also identify any discrepancies in the original plans, address items that may not have been thought of, and basically connect all the dots that you’ve put into place.
Day-of, we are the primary point of contact for the venue, all vendors, your wedding party and YOU- the client. We are the manager on duty, overseeing vendors' work and making sure they do their jobs according to what was contracted. We address logistical items, unexpected situations, and questions in general that may arise.

MY VENUE HAS A COORDINATOR, SO I DON'T NEED A WEDDING COORDINATOR.

Actually... you probably do. A Venue Coordinator is NOT the same as a Wedding or Event Coordinator. Simply put, the Venue Coordinator only manages things related to the VENUE (i.e. vendor guidelines, accessibility, arrival times, parking, etc.)
A Wedding / Event Coordinator manages EVERYTHING surrounding your special event!

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU DON'T DO?

There are a few things that don't make sense for us to tackle. Ladder work over 8', moving objects over 50lbs, picking up your dry cleaning, or telling your cousin that her boyfriend isn't invited... we can't help you out in these areas. We prioritize our safety and our time. You hire us to plan an amazing event, not run errands or do extreme physical labor!

HOW CAN YOU HELP ME, SPECIFICALLY?

We recognize that no two events are alike. Let's meet! A virtual consultation meeting via zoom is how we’ll get to know each other.

I'M SOLD! HOW DO I GET IN TOUCH?

Reach out through the contact form on our website! You can also give us a call, send an email, or drop us a message on social media!

I'M ORGANIZED, CAN'T I DO THINGS MYSELF?

Some things shouldn't be DIYed. Hiring an event planner saves you stress, time, and money. Planning an event comes with countless hours spent researching, communicating, delegating, and scheduling- we'll do this so you can spend your time dreaming about instead of stressing about the big day. Save you money? We can! Creating, managing and sticking to a budget is what we do. We know what things cost, can prioritize what is most important, and where corners can be cut. And don't forget- day of, unforseen circumstances can't be disregarded. We plan for the best, but prepare for the worst. We think on our feet, and can execute a 'plan B' if needed.
